Fall Protection & Working at Heights

Course Aim:

The Aim of the course is to assess the student on what it means to work at height, how to identify the hazards and risks associated with working at height, and how to effectively avoid falling from a height based on the nature of the work that is being performed by using adequate controls that are taught in the training. Throughout the entire course, the trainer will be taught to stress on the importance of each technique to be done correctly, to teach the trainer how to engage with their respective audience or attendees and to stress on practical implication of these techniques, and how to make sure every attendant has understood and followed the course clearly.

·         Understanding effective and engaging presentation skills.

·     Know how to create a presentation presenting first aid topics and how to effectively gain the attention of your audience.

·         How to maintain control of a session.

·         How to deal with potential difficulties.

·         Define Working at height.

·         Identify the different types of work which demands work at height.

·         Identify the risks associated with working at height.

·         Identify the adequate administrative controls for working at height.

·         Identify the adequate engineering controls for working at height.

·         Identify personal protective equipment for fall protection for workers working at a height.

·     Asses how to maintain proper maintenance of materials and structures used to prevent and individual or a group of people working at a height.

·      Asses proper individual controls, such as medical side effects, that should be assessed while working at a height.

·         Evaluate proper emergency controls on how to evacuate while working from a height.
