Respiratory Protection Train the Trainer

Course Aim:

The aim of the course is to allow workers to understand the different types of respiratory protection in the workplace depending on the type of work being done, how long this equipment shall be worn, and when they should be replaced or removed. Throughout the entire course, the trainer will be taught to stress on the importance of each technique to be done correctly, to teach the trainer how to engage with their respective audience or attendees and to stress on practical implication of these techniques, and how to make sure every attendant is keen on the information regarding these types of protective equipment.

Course Objective:

·         A brief understanding of how respiration occurs naturally.

·         A brief overview of which type of gases can cause dangerous side effects when inhaled.

·         Identify the different types of respirators and when they should be used.

·         Identify when the cannisters of respirators should be replaced.

·         Identify different types of breathing apparatuses and when they should be used.

·         How to instruct students to teach the above points.

·         Understanding effective and engaging presentation skills.

·         Know how to create a presentation presenting first aid topics and how to effectively gain the attention of your audience.

·         How to maintain control of a session.

·         How to deal with potential difficulties.
